ONE STAGE UNIT ADSORPTION + ABSORPTION
• Activated carbons regenerated by vacuum + absorbent washing.
The Vapor Recovery Unit is composed by two activated carbon beds: one in operation, while the second is regenerated by vacuum; vapors of HC are adsorbed by activated carbons and air, free of hydrocarbons, is discharged to atmosphere.
The desorbed hydrocarbons are sent to a contact column where they are washed by an absorbent stream (generally the same product that has generated the vapors); absorbent settles down in a tank from where is pumped back to customer’s tanks. |
